Anders Sennerö

Anders is advisor at the Swedish National Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools, at the Resource Center Vision in Stockholm. For many years, Anders taught mathematics and science to sighted students. He also has a master’s degree in computer science. Anders started working at the Resource Center Vision in 2006. He provide special education support nationally to teachers  in secondary and upper secondary schools, about adaptations in mathematics for braille readers.

Annemiek van Leendert

Annemiek is professionally trained as a mathematics and physics teacher. Her career commenced in 1991 at Koninklijke Visio, where she has held roles as a mathematics teacher, visiting teacher, and educational researcher ever since. In addition to her domestic responsibilities, she has gained international experience coaching mathematics teachers of braille readers and organizing conferences on mathematics education for braille readers. In 2021, she successfully completed her PhD research, titled “Improving reading and comprehending mathematical expressions in braille.” As of 2023, Annemiek has embarked on her postdoctoral research focused on developing a haptic framework for instructing braille readers in mathematical equations.

Ann-Charlotte Larsson

Ann-Charlotte taught mathematics to sighted students for more than 20 years. She has a special teacher’s degree with concentration on visual impairment. Ann-Charlotte started working at the Resource Center Vision in 2014. She provide special education support nationally to teachers in secondary and upper secondary schools, about adaptations in mathematics for braille readers.

Floor Venderbosch

Floor is trained as a mathematics teacher. She started at Royal Visio in September 2021. She teaches mathematics to blind and visually impaired students in special secondary education (12 to 18 years).

Hilde Havsjømoen

Hilde is a senior adviser in Statped, since 2001. She is an educated maths teacher for upper secondary school and within the field of vision. Her expertise lies in giving courses and guidance to maths teachers on adapting methods and training in mathematics for visually impaired and braille readers. She has knowledge on adapting mathematics for upper secondary schools and use of digital tools that will contribute to the project.

Oddvar Øyan

Norway, oddvar.oyan@statped.no

Oddvar is a senior advisor in Statped (Norway). He is a braille reader himself, and has been guiding braille readers and their math teachers for more than 25 years. His expertise lies in giving courses, adapting braille materials and training braille readers individually. His expertise and experience is of great importance in the practical implementation of the project.

Torbjørn Simmenes

Torbjørn is a senior advisor in Statped where he has worked since 2021. He is mostly working on advising teachers about braille readers. He is also cooperating closely with the teaching resource department in producing books for braille students. Before that he worked as a teacher in the primary school for over 10 years in maths and other subjects. He has 4 years teaching experience in teaching braille readers maths and other subjects.
